Beacon Festival is about raising funds for local charities and organisations that do great things for their communities. Profits from the festival will be shared between them.
We are pleased to announce that 2024 applications are now OPEN!
Your Application
After the Last Ever Beacon Festival we are pleased to start considering the charities, local organisations, or community events that need some financial help.
Beacon Festival is run completely by volunteers and the monies we raise will hopefully help other volunteer groups doing great things for their community.
As it is the Last time we will be issuing awards we are really keen that the monies we have raised go towards things that will last and be used in the future therefore, please be specific as to what you anticipate the money being spent on and how much it is.
We have provided some guidance below on criteria we will keep in mind when looking at applications.
The deadline is 23:59 on 18th October. Once we have all the applications we may request further clarification or more details before we will whittle down to the handful we can help and support. We will notify successful applicants in November.
Application guidance
Please address the following in your application
-
Where are you based or the address of where the money would be used?
-
Does your charity/organisation focus on Family, Youth, Music, Animals or the Environment? (things that are close to our hearts)
-
How are you/your projects funded normally?
-
Has your organisation ever helped or contributed to Beacon Festival over the years and if so how?
-
Be clear in the project, activity or item that you want to be funded. We would prefer a specific project rather than just to cover running costs, but everything will be considered.
-
Be clear with how much money you need and when you need it. We are happy to look at applications of small amounts to large amounts where Beacon's grant would just be a piece of your funding.*
-
Be clear, to a layperson, what is the benefit of what you are asking: Who will benefit from it, in what way and for how long?
*If we are a small part of a larger project, ie. £1k in a £10k requirement. In this situation, if you were successful, we would commit and pledge the £1k and release the funds once proof of the other £9k had been secured.
