Do you enjoy local music?
Do you want to feel more of a part of your community?
Can you give just 4 hours to our festival?
Then we need you! You can make our festival happen.
In exchange for just 4 hours of your time you will receive a free ticket to the festival!
You must be aged 16 or over to volunteer at Beacon Festival or working in a community group where an adult takes responsibility for you.
All volunteers are invited to be on site at 6 pm on the Thursday before the festival opens. This will include a full briefing, fire safety, site tour around the
festival and an explanation into exactly what your role entails.
More about being a part of our team…
Shifts run throughout the weekend, but there are also roles around the lead up and the all-important pack down. The festival runs on a unique and special farm site so we need to return the farm to the animals safe and as it was.
Roles include, but are not limited to:
Box office – taking payments and giving wrist bands
Site set up and pack down
Backstage support – green room, equipment handling, stage management
Band check-in desk
Running the merch stall
Car parking support
Volunteers can count the hours towards college / university / back to work programmes – if you need forms signing off, please bring them with you to the festival and these will be signed off on Sunday. We can also provide you with a certificate of attendance to support your CV.
Let’s face it, a festival is better with a friend – we encourage volunteers to volunteer with their friends to make memories together. We would also like to hear from local groups who would like to be involved as a team – Guides, Scouts and youth groups.
Festival volunteers will need to be our eyes and ears, vigilant, confident, flexible and committed to supporting our festival and the shifts they sign up to. Some will need to be physically fit as they will be on their feet whilst on duty. If you need a specific role which involves seating or adaptions please let us know we are keen to include all and work to everyone’s strengths.
Please let us know if you have any previous festival experience, and if there’s any particular role you would like to do.
If you would like join in the fun, and be a part of our community, please fill in the form below.
